Re: Song of the Moment: Glorified G
incredibly irritating riff and dumb lyrics. this and leash are probably the worst two songs from their good albums.

Glorified G was the beginning of the end for Dave A. I feel like Ed was certainly making fun of him

Another thing I learned today from Brownlee's book is that "Got a gun, fact I got two.". Was a direct quote from Dave A, bragging in the studio that he bought guns.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Some of us read about the music, but some of us were just listening.LetMeSleep wrote:Where have you been for the last 27 years?B wrote:Another thing I learned today from Brownlee's book is that "Got a gun, fact I got two.". Was a direct quote from Dave A, bragging in the studio that he bought guns.

Also the guitar interplay is wonderful. Stone's rhythm is fantastic. The song is so punchy and crisp. Ed sounds fantastic.
I love this song, don't understand the hate

Such a great groove. I want this Stone back on the next album.
I learned how to play the solo for it during the lockdown last year. I'm confident if I was called on stage to play it while Mike takes a piss I could do it.

Re: Song of the Moment: Glorified G
I like this song okay. If this was how Pearl Jam always sounded, they would be a band that I didn't pay much attention to, kind of like half the stuff on Radiohead's Pablo Honey. Decent, but not indicative of what they're capable of.

Re: Song of the Moment: Glorified G
Great song. It’s like some weird honky Tonk country riff funkified by stones alternative rhythm underneath held together by a Jeff and dave.
Weird yet totally unique song for any rock band I feel.
