What movies are you watching?

I did get a new enjoyment out of it. Certainly a very different feeling from when I first watched it 20-30 years ago. The movie feels as relevant today as it ever did.

Wicker Man. Way better than the hilariously awful Cage remake. Pretty good, creepy, despite some amateurish, poor craftsmanship.

Gonna go out on a limb and say that Anthony Hopkins is much better than Riz Ahmed, who I found to be wooden.

The movie was ok, but I never really felt like I got inside the head of the main character. Intense subject matter though, especially after the month I've had.

I haven't seen The Father or Sound of Metal but there is no way Anthony Hopkins is better than Riz Ahmed.

Anthony Hopkins is seriously overrated. He's fine, but he doesn't deserve his reputation.

There is no reason to dislike him. He has never turned in a poor performance, is usually really good and you're always happy to see him. He's like Sean Connery but more diverse.

I really liked the novel (Human Stain). But I could never bring myself to watch the movie.
