There is probably a way to address the increased heath costs we shoulder due to obesity while still treating obese individuals as humans on a day-to-day basis. Probably.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

What sucks for fat people though is everyone can see it. Most people with problems or addictions that are detrimental to their health aren't walking around wearing them on their faces.

I listened to 20 minutes of a 60 minute NPR show. I'm not the one to solve this issue.

I can't even get my own weight to a healthy level.

We can stop subsidizing things like sugar, and start subsidizing fruits & vegetables, so that it's not cheaper to buy less healthy food. As for how we can act, I would just say don't be a dick.

I'm going to be honest vegetables suck. I choke down things like cauliflower mashed potatoes though because I want to look hot. When I do eat garbage it doesn't matter because if the furnace is hot enough anything will burn. I don't drink alcohol. This isn't hard.

Not everyone is you, verb. You obviously have motivation and drive that obese people do not. It doesn't make you better or happier necessarily. Just different.

It absolutely makes me better. I'm so much less likely to die it's insane.

Some people would rather die than live their lives that way.

- I don't think you can rewire people to not have some negative attitudes towards unattractive people, and many fat acceptance types think everything is a social construct and that you can do just that. You can't, but that doesn't mean you should just go around calling people "Big ole fatty McFattersons" either.

- Though its not all about attractiveness, let's face it: it is most of it. It's probably the biggest "privilege" there is, besides maybe wealth. If you're fat, you ain't got it.

- Not sure how many fat acceptance people really think obesity is medically ok, so that sounds like a straw man to me. Of course, the few that are really arguing for that are idiots.

I just think if you want to live an unhealthy lifestyle, that's your right as long as you're not harming others in the process. It's not fair to single out and view fat people as weighing us all down with healthcare costs, especially considering all the other unhealthy lifestyles people turn blind eyes to. Live and let live, man.

Sure, the healthcare cost argument is just used when The Man need an excuse to control us.

Fat people and smokers suck. Huge drag on any healthcare system. It's irresponsible and that's all there is to it.

I thought smokers saved us money by dying younger and skipping the whole 5 years of end life care.

What the fuck?

So for the people that eat because they are depressed, they should get over their depression issues, yeah. We gonna throw all depressed people into that category? How do you stay so happy, verb?

Maybe he doesn’t realize how much more expensive it is to buy all this new cauliflower based stuff, compared to regular ol potatoes, cream and butter.

I'm not happy but I'd almost surely kill myself if I was also fat
