I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Gotta respect your unwavering love for Fight Club. I feel like it has taken backlash in recent years for widespread appeal more than anything. It's akin to folks dismissing Tool because their fans like to pretend the music is deeper than it really is.
