Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I have enough faith in Trag that he can screw this up in the next three rounds but Chinatown and PTA plus not picking any corny bullshit like Star Wars is a very strong start. A lot of other teams shot themselves in the foot

I'm not going to read through this thread so I dunno what the fuck is going on with Ruddo. Burt's team looks like a Reddit Mount Rushmore. Malloy has solid picks but they're way too niche and forgettable. tree's is just an AFI brochure. VG is probably second best but coasting on the strength of Scorsese and Cage. Tarantino and Alien are a miss for me, as is Spielberg (though Out of Sight is a great pick). And then you have two teams with fucking Star Wars movies (and Kubrick can't save Get Out, Shawshank, and Hanks). Parasite easily one of the best movies of the past decade, ditto No County for the 00s. Don't love Endless Summer and Bill Murray could go either way but PTA and Chinatown are excellent picks and neither should have been on the board when they were. Like I said, Trag and it's not even close.
