bingo. it's one of the thing's tm does best: revisionist history.

just wait a few more years for the next installment when 'actually s/t is underrated.'

for as much bitching and complaining we do around here about the band, we all know we got a little excited when we read about this.

There's theplatypus! Good one man.

My opinion that tomorrow is going to be awesome will not change.

Unless they're just announcing new socks.

That doesn't mean there isn't a new song coming out tomorrow.

Of course. Just a little.

Though there's been little enjoyment drawn for me from the last five years or so of Pearl Jam's career, I'll always hope that they manage to pull things back on track.

With Jeff and Matt being really busy the last several months I just don't see how anything big Pearl Jam wise is greased up and ready to go tomorrow. It would be nice if I am wrong about that....

It's probably a DVD or box set announcement.

In the very least there is a 3 month lag from when an album is finished being recorded till when it's released. Plenty of time to squeeze in non-PJ things after completing those guys parts.

Apparently they've been sitting on this expecting it to come from a 'local source' - 10C Presumably . But it hasn't so they are gonna run with it.

Can't be new music then, can it?

There are a lot of Europeans laughing at the coachella crowd not knowing who the stone roses are. But it could be they're being replaced, however unlikely.

If it isn't a single - which I am assuming it is - it could be a track for a forthcoming movie. A bit like SG did with Live to Rise. Build a bit of anticipation around the new album.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

yeah it is totally plausible that they are just releasing a song they've worked on for the album, or one they finished and decided not to keep. Certainly it would be helpful to get the ball rolling in anticipation of an album later in the year.

It is going to be pretty disappointing if the 10c thing has nothing to do with new music and that anti-quiet tweet was just poorly timed, but that guy seems to be in contact with a lot of the bands so presumably he would not have heard a song and posted about it if they didn't want that information out (unless I'm wrong about that site)
