2007-2012 was god awful all around though.

Tremor Christ from leeds 2013 is fantastic.
In my head I'd written off the 2013/2014 tour because I thought Eddie and the band sounded bad.

I'm listening to the San Diego show and I couldn't have been more wrong, they all sound fantastic. I'll have to give the tour another shot.

I retract my earlier comment about EV sounding like ass.
I won’t hate on Pearl Jam shows from ‘07-‘12. I went to 6 shows in that time and loved all of them (Lollapalooza ‘07, both MSG shows in ‘08, Philly 4 in ‘09, and both MSG shows in ‘10). It may not come across on bootleg as it was to be there, but the band had great energy, took some chances, and put on a great show. For all the crap about the backup singers, I think the songs sounded good and it was worth the big change up to try nonetheless. They still don’t rehearse enough so I am not buying them being any more sloppy than the last 8 years.

My DC shows were a mess and the NYC shows did not live up to expectations in 2008/2009 or whatever. St. Louis 10 was good, PJ20 was....

I dont know. Coming off the 06 tour (which was phenomenal) it seemed like the band just kind of winged it a ittle too much until they became focused again for the LB tour.

Love all the Nader talk on the 2000 boots. The Binaural songs really kick ass live and the back catalog sounds more urgent. I've done Lubbock and Chicago now to go along with NOLA and St. Louis.

Came across this one which I had not heard before:

Can you imagine present day Eddie saying something like this?
I want to be a warm and friendly person
But I don't know how to do it

Well you need to tell us about your experience at Alpine then. How did you stay warm?

I didn't! It was fucking awful. I did not prepare for a winter show and had some stupid hipster thin jacket on. I did have a winter hat though - for some reason.

I remember heading towards Wisconsin when the snow started to fall on the interstate and wondering what the hell we got ourselves in to. Before leaving for the tour we were looking for places to stay and for some reason we thought it would be fun to camp for the Alpine show. We found some persons farm that was renting spots. we rolled in at night after being on the road all day and freezing our assess of at the show....i vaguely remember dropping some money in an envelope in their mailbox and throwing our tent up....

Oh, to be young again.

It's definitely fun to camp at an Alpine show, just not in 20 degree weather.

Alpine 03 was my first pearl jam show and I believe it was 70 and sunny that day. Perfect.

No, it was awful.

Then we waited in line all day for Chicago tickets. Think i scored 7th row dead center and met someone who has since became a dear friend that put us up at her house for the night.

Did you go to the Nader rally the next day? Ed said it was only 7 bucks!

My theory is it really started at that Seattle show in 2000. It was big and emotional and the band fed off it. And we’ve been replicating that at least in the encore since.

It was all over as soon as they decided to pander to that damned "Breath" sign campaign.

I held up a Breath sign...and the Thank You sign two nights later.
