I agree. Each had been a monster. And they keep getting better, too. I've listen to the first two at least 50 times each (conservative estimate) and I think I like them more over time.

I think this could be finally the album i was expecting from her, funky and badass. Pay Your Way In Pain reminds me both of Prince and Bowie with a mix between the best Beck.

I tend to be overly previous with first listens. And I'm leaving to go to the Catskills for a weekend away. Which means I probably won't listen to this until Monday at the earliest. The vinyl should be here Tuesday. So I might wait until then.

On my first listen now, just bought it from my local record store.

I kinda stayed away from the singles, Ive only seen the SNL performances. Those two songs are 2 of the highlights of the record.
This is another great, great record by Annie. I already know Ill spin this a lot over the next few months. However, I don't think it's her best record. Actor, Strange mercy, S/t and Masseduction are all better imho. I would place slightly above two other great records 'Marry Me' and 'Love this Giant'. But I do think I will play this a lot, it's very welcoming and easy listening! Great stuff!

I made it through Someone Like Me. The rest will have to wait as I'm on my way out the door.

But what I've heard so far... This thing is a masterpiece. So many thoughts! So many feelings! Can't wait to dive in more when I've heard the whole thing.
