Pat Smear is inducted into the RRHOF with Nirvana, but Dave A. is not with Pearl Jam?

Pat wasn't inducted, only Kurt, Krist and Dave: https://www.rockhall.com/inductees/nirvanaBammer wrote:Pat Smear is inducted into the RRHOF with Nirvana, but Dave A. is not with Pearl Jam?
WTF
Who wasn't inducted? Chad Channing, Nirvana drummer 1988-1990.
I believe the band (i.e. Krist and Dave) wanted Chad included, but it's the RRHOF who decides.
Bizarre however that Reeves Gabrels was inducted with The Cure when he hasn't yet played on a single Cure album (he's been touring lead guitarist since 2012), but at least two former members who played on some of their classic records were not (Matthieu Hartley and Andy Anderson).

Spotify gave me Jerry Was a Racecar Driver > Waiting Room on autoplay. The machine finally understands me.

Then Mudhoney, which I wasn't in the mood for, then Jack White pretending he was Rage Against the Machine (glorious), then recent Foo Fighters (easy skip) into Silversun Pickups and Queens of the Stone Age. Not a bad run overall.

Deep Cuts is better than Silent Shout. Mickey doesn't know shit about The Knife.

I know many of you hate the term, but what would you consider to be the first post-grunge album.? Foo Fighters self-titled? Something by Stone Temple Pilots?

I wish PJ (or any band that does Deluxe treatments) of their catalogs would look at how Oasis & The Cult have done theirs and follow suit. The re-releases of Oasis' 1st 3 and Love & Sonic Temple have been absolutely perfect.
The Cult probably won't do anymore unfortunately. I wish they'd at least do Ceremony & S/T.
Damn I still really love The Cult.
Edit: I forgot about Electric Peace I dig Peace way more these days. Rick Rubin tried to turn them into AC/DC British Edition. Electric still kicks ass but Peace is transcendental.

Smashing Pumpkins are atop the pile on re-releases. An insane amount of extra content. It really does give the albums new life.

I need to get back into their first few albums. I haven't listened to those in a while. Tom Petty's Wildflowers nailed it as well.Ello Sailor wrote:Smashing Pumpkins are atop the pile on re-releases. An insane amount of extra content. It really does give the albums new life.

It sucks how no one talks about Trail of Dead and TV on the Radio anymore. Both were outstanding bands.

I would have liked a live disc for the Be Here Now release but the full Mustique Demo is definitely great to have.
U2 did a nice job with theirs as well. I don't think I knew or simply forgot Appetite for Destruction got the deluxe treatment but I may need to seek that one out.
