Re: What movies are you watching?
Christmas In July isn't quite the movie The Lady Eve is. its direction and performances aren't on par with Eve, which bummed me out, because i really really wanted to love Christmas In July based on what i've read about it.
a question that just occurred to me -- is there a contemporary analog to preston sturges? the coen's idiot tetralogy immediately comes to mind. going to have to think about other possibilities

Oldboy is really something else. Well worth seeing.
My favorite Korean movies are Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring and Memories Of Murder.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Gave Barton Fink another viewing last night, first time for Raz. She was pretty baffled and I had a hard time explaining it to her. Could someone clear this movie up for me? What's with the fire?

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
