Not a lot of Social Network fans around here it seems. Tarantino has it as the best film of the 10's.

I think its pretty clear that a lot of you are letting your personal animosities towards me cloud your judgment. I know I've had some disagreements with some of you in the past, but this is not the time for score settling. This is for science. Try having an ounce of honor and doing the right thing for once.

i voted for burt.

Carpenter over Fincher
DDL over Russell
Streep,Theron -- wash
Strangelove over Great Escape
Stalker over Godfather
Shining over Bladerunner
Fargo over The Matrix
Children of Men over Punch Drunk Love
Fury Road over Social Network

somewhat unrelated, but i think the reappraisal over the last decade or so of carpenter (and verhoeven) as one of the great directors is totally correct and welcome

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

If Burt picked Verhoeven he might have won this one for me.

There it's a terrible lack of Verhoeven in this tourney.

I picked Carpenter.

Robocop would probably be my number 3 80s movie.

Starship Troopers or Total Recall over Matrix? Hmmm....maybe

Robocop is probably the best one. Starship Troopers feels so prophetic but I'd still take a number of 90s movies over it.
