Yeah, if Joey picked better actors it'd be closer, but gotta go Ello here. Oldman more than makes up for DiCaprio.

I'm not a big fan of DiCaprio. I respect his work ethic and all, but his acting chops leave something to be desired in all but a couple roles.

He's always Leo. I admire actors who TRANSFORM into a role

DiCaprio is good but I'm never like "wow the new DiCaprio movie is out!"

Re: MAD Tournament: Ello Sailor vs. epilogue
I could see the critique early in his career but The Departed, Wolf of Wall Street, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood--c'mon. The fact that the next Scorsese film stars DiCaprio and Jesse Plemons is tantalizing.

Re: MAD Tournament: Ello Sailor vs. epilogue
I am seriously impressed by all the great movies he's in, but I could easily imagine many other average actors doing as well as he did in most of those roles. I'm baffled at Scorsese being so attached to him. Maybe it's the ticket sales.

I'd put Leo right next to Mark Wahlberg in a ranking

Re: MAD Tournament: Ello Sailor vs. epilogue
When I started collecting movies digitally, after years of collecting physical copies, the first directors I thought of were the Coen’s and Tarantino. All in all they are top picks, and somewhat even for me. Coen’s might have slipped more, but have as many top movies. 1/2 - 1/2tree_ wrote:Ello Sailor

DiCaprio and Goodman more or less cancel each other out as well. 1-1
Kendrick has talent, but hasn’t been in enough top roles or movies to compete with Oldman. 2-1 Ello
Lawrence Of Arabia is possibly my favorite 1960s movie. 3-1
Star Wars beats out Alien 3-2
I respect Akira, but prefer Do The Right Thing 3-3
Fight Club vs The Silence Of The Lambs - tough one, but TSOTL takes it 4-3
Oldboy beats Mulholland Dr 5-3
I think I have to go with Pain and Glory for the 2010s 5-4 Ello
Very tight.

Re: MAD Tournament: Ello Sailor vs. epilogue
I agree that this is a tight race, so I'll also break it down:
Coens over Tarantino (+1 Joe, close)
Leo over Goodman (+1 Ello, not close)
Oldman over Kendrick (+1 Ello, not close)
2001 over Lawrence (+1 Joe, close)
Alien over Star Wars (+1 Ello, not close)
DTRT over Akira (+1 Joe, close)
Fight Club over SOTL (+1 Joe, very close)
Mulholland over Oldboy (+1 Joe, haven't seen Oldboy)
Pain and Glory over OUATIH (+1 Joe, close)
Some bigger wins for Ello but overall it goes to Joey.
