I enjoy the Alien series quite a bit but every time I think of Aliens all I see in my head is James Cameron saying "we gotta take this to eleven."

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Same. I think it’s vastly inferior to the original. “Get away from her youuuu biiitch!” Ugh.

I don't do the comparative but it is just such a different animal entirely. Cameron and Scott might also be two ends of the spectrum when it comes to directors.

i thought about watching this one. I really like Sheridian´s work.

It's fun, it's snappy, it's like 95 minutes, I probably will forget about it entirely within a month and never think of it again but there are worse ways to spend an evening.
