I thought to myself, I thought "there's no way they've posted another 3 pages on Annie Lennox", so I had to see wtf was going on in here.

Since you're here, can you help out and grab a broom? There's broken glass everywhere.

Circling back to this...Norris wrote:I liked it more on the second listen than on the first, and I definitely think it really hits its stride after the first interlude track. The reason right now it seems to rank low in her catalog for me is because unlike every other SV album, there isn't a song on here that upon first listen I immediately think is one of her all time best songs.
Somebody Like Me, Melting of the Sun, and Down are without question among her all time best songs.
It is interesting though how many people have this ranked similarly with Actor. They really have a lot in common, those two albums.

You know, Live In The Dream sounds a lot more like the Beatles (Sun King) to me than Pink Floyd (Comfortably Numb, specifically).

Anyway, finally spinning the vinyl and getting my precious listening experience in. Just me alone with the liner notes in an empty apartment, drink in hand.... This thing just sounds so goddamn good.

Played the first half or so of this on the way home from errands with the family today. Grooved for about three songs and then the toddler wasn't feeling it.
How does annie n. clarke get those sounds out of her musical machines?

I love it too, friend. It's just so fucking good. I don't think it's far and away my favorite but right now it has a slight lead. I go back and forth between that and Melting of the Sun. Both songs just slay me.Chris_H_2 wrote:i love this song so much joe. it's by far my favorite on the album.epilogue wrote:Chris_H_2 wrote:i'm definitely hearing my morning jacket on somebody like me![]()

That one has grown on me the most. First time through it didn't grab me. But after a few spins, it's really clicking BIG TIME for me right now. Great fucking lyrics in that one too.Chris_H_2 wrote:I’m in love with at the holiday party. It’s sooooooo good.epilogue wrote:I love it too, friend. It's just so fucking good. At the holiday party
Red wine lipped too early
Is such a brilliant opening line. Exquisite.
