Is it a gruesome injury? If so I’m not looking.

Any word on how he's doing? Looks like a broken orbital. I'd love to be wrong.

I still think baseball needs to do something about batters being hit. They ended collisions at home plate, if it’s faceguards it’s faceguards. This is effecting almost every team. This ruins seasons if not careers. Whether they intend to or not, getting hit in the face should be fixable. I think pitchers should be fined for every single hbp. If that means you can’t throw inside because you don’t have control so be it.

that is a can of worms I hope never gets opened.

We just had a game a few weeks ago, Reds vs someone, rain was coming down and the Reds pitcher Sims I believe hit a right handed batter with a slider. He said in post game, he has never hit a right handed batter with a slider ever, it was all do to rain. But I guess he should be fined and suspended because the umpires forced the game to go on to long?
and what about players who lean out over the plate and look to get hit? What if its a knuckleball or a changeup? screw it why even have a pitcher anymore lets just put a pitching machine on the mound

I’d hire you to be my GM if I had decided to buy an MLB team instead of dogecoin

It doesn’t really matter, I have bad takes lots of times and no one listens to me anyway. MLB doesn’t care. It’s just bullshit each team has mostly a few very expensive players, the ones people pay to see and some hack on the mound from triple a can take them out for the year with zero recourse. Hell Tony La Russa probably cares more about unwritten rules than the actual written ones.

Obviously most times like the other night guys are not throwing intentionally into other players, but it happens a lot, most of the time it’s into the better talents and if they get hurt what is the recourse? MLB does nothing and all that’s done is to perpetuate the stupidity of getting the better players hurt because some soft ass pitcher is upset someone hit a home run of them. So then the recourse is supposed to be another pitcher throwing at the other teams best player. That’s just stupid. It makes the game worse having the better talents on the IL

Leaning in, wearing armor, I get it, but all these damn broken bones for either lack of control or just outright inability to control pitches is not ok at that level.
