That place is great. They had a cooler of free beer when we went.

Get chicken shawarma from Shawarma Point’s food truck.

a friend worked at micklethwait toward the end of yr author's all or nothing days and would set us up good. it's my favorite bbq in austin.

i'll try to get to the shawarma truck.

when i was living there in 09, franklin was still operating out of a couple food trucks in an abandoned gas station parking lot off i-35. i lived just off the highway in a cockroach infested shithole that happened to be walking distance from it. one day in line i was dropping eaves on zz packer talking to another writer, and thought maybe providence had finally taken pity on rm's most slothern-hearted son.

turns out it hadn't.
