I mean like which of these two things is possible:
A leak from a lab in the immediate area of the first outbreak that was conducting that exact type of research (gain-of-function on ACE2) on that exact type of virus (SARS-like coronavirus)
or
A previously unknown and 18 months later still unidentified naturally occurring source smuggled into the same city as that lab from anywhere between hundreds to thousands of miles away and disbursed at a location that coincidentally happens to line up with exactly what the guy co-funding the above research theorized might someday happen and put into his NIH grant proposal five years earlier?

PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE: Most emerging human viruses come from wildlife, and these represent a significant threat to global public health and biosecurity - as demonstrated by the SARS coronavirus pandemic of 2002-03 and an ongoing SARS-like epidemic in the Middle East. This project seeks to understand what factors allow animal Coronaviruses to evolve and jump into the human population by studying virus diversity in a critical group of animals (bats), a sites of high risk for emergence (wildlife markets) in an emerging disease hotspot (China).
The answer is both are possible and both must be investigated if the goal is to identify the source of COVID-19. But... you know... if I was a betting man...

Editor's note May 24, 2022: Since the 2021 clarification to this 2020 article was published, media consensus has shifted. Due to the availability of increased revenues from kardashian-related content, some say the 'kanye's jizz' theory warrants an investigation, along with the 'Ray J's jizz' theory. Some of the interviews in this article were conducted in 2020 to reflect scientific thinking, but have not been updated since then to reflect contemporary, jizz-related theories. All posts by this account, even those referencing real things, are entirely fictional and are for entertainment purposes only; i.e. very low-quality entertainment. These may contain coarse language and due to their content should not be viewed by anyone

Or, just responsibly and transparently updating their work.
The time stamps seem to indicate that they posted their update after editing the articles.
Also, what has changed in the intervening year? Gatekeepers had a change of heart? Relevent specialists worked up the courage to go on the record? We don't have a ton of new information that shifted any probabilities.

All you have to do is say something about the science changing. Science is a religion now. It's a faith based thing you don't question.

Time moves in a forward direction? All things don't happen simultaneously??
Or did they read that RM poster, simple_schoolboy, was onto them and decided they better cover their tracks?
There's this standard in journalism where edits are noted in something near the header/footer of an article that is normally posted at the time of an edit.
Explainers apparently can just take to twitter hours later because they are doing the lords work.
So 9 hours with the time difference, maybe?
Your Vox tweet just takes you to a landing page of all covid explainers, so good luck figuring out just how Vox's understanding has changed in the past year.
I'll vote that. I don't even really care about the Wuhan Lab Theory. The timing of my twitter feed just seems to be tied into your posts on RM somehow.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

BI3 is a very valuable member of N&D. Whether you agree or disagree it would be hard to argue that his opinions aren't well researched and thought out. A lot more so than most of us (myself included)

I don't disagree with that.

It's almost as if the liars that first mentioned the lab-leak theory weren't trusted by the broader population to be not-lying. How could this have happened?
