I just want to hear all of the songs. I can't remember when was the last time any of them said anything interesting interesting in an interview so i couldn't care less and I'm extremely curious about everything from song writing to mixing and mastering.Strat wrote:I could really go for a Stone and/or Jeff interview about LB

I hope to have this thing before I run a Ragnar relay next weekend, wouldn't mind trekking to some LB.
They will be streaming the album at the Town Hall thing on Sirius on October 3. http://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/181260/9

Well you can anticipate a leak shortly afterwards. It's very easy to capture streaming audio and convert to mp3 or whatever.

That's the one issue why I'm hesitant to listen much after the stream. Sirius has decent quality music, but I don't know if they'll be streaming a mic'd up version of it coming out of a boombox or whatever setup they have in the studio, since they're playing the 'Town Hall' meeting itself, and not necessarily playing the songs like a station normally would.

Wait, so they're actually broadcasting that on Sirius nationwide? I thought they were just playing it for the town hall winners, like the pre-release parties in Europa.

That link I posted seems to imply that we'll be hearing the album.

I don't think they are playing the album on air. Their promotion is to attend a listening party and ask the band a question.

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
They may just play the album for the attendees, but the Q&A will be broadcast:
"This very special event will take place the evening of Thursday, October 3 at a secret location in Seattle. It will air on the band's SiriusXM channel, Pearl Jam Radio, and will be moderated by Lightning Bolt producer Brendan O'Brien.
The band will answer questions about their entire body of work, including their much-anticipated tenth studio album, Lightning Bolt. In addition, the audience attending the Town Hall will hear the Lightning Bolt album in its entirety well before it's released on October 15."

That would be really lame, but I think you may be right. The article doesn't say anything about the stream of the show being 'live'.

I'm not sure I want to hear Brendan O'Brien talk for that long.

Are they gonna take questions live? Or filter them or something. They gotta weed out all the 'Eddie I want your babies' and 'BoB why are you such a prick?' Questions.
