Implicit bias training is probably harmful, but you're probably thinking about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs.

I was thinking of the one where people of color don't participate because it's too painful for them to watch white people do the work of eliminating their biases.

... which I know is a ridiculous overstatement of the training, but I'm pretty sure that's how the conservatives on the board have described it.

I’m not sure, but “Critical Race Theory” is a popular one and from what I’ve heard the basic approach is to separate people by race and concentrate on their differences.

This is the justification for "affinity groups". So, yes, "white affinity groups" exist for this reason.

Why are you acting like this is a creative invention?

I'm more annoyed that they updated the fire triangle/ pyramid to include "chemical reaction". Stop mandating workplace training that is dumber than the boyscout handbook, please.

Did I imply that? I'm not sure CRT isn't all that great or as close to taking over the world as conservatives think it is, but I had to Google white affinity groups.
The formation of White Affinity Spaces, for white people to come together to learn about racism, anti-racism, racial equity and social justice, is a common occurrence today, a product of the Black Lives Matter movement and the related awakening of white Americans. People are seeking safe places and committed groups in which to discover the consequences of their white racial identity within the context of a white supremacist culture and history. In many instances, they may wish to spare their Black colleagues, friends or acquaintances the burden of responsibility for educating white people about the racism they experience daily.
Maybe that's not the best solution, but white people getting together and talking about their privilege and biases? Isn't that RM?

That's what it was.
CRT is not a 'course', it's a analytical framework for critiquing observed phenomena in order to identify socially unacceptable power hierarchies.

I think about the fact we from this:

to multiple countries racing to put robots on Mars, in barely over a century and I think... look at how far we have come. We literally just invented a new vaccine against a never before seen disease (outside of a Chinese lab) and have vaccinated close to two billion people in about a year. Yeah... sometimes people are assholes and mock pronouns on social emdia, but is this 'system' something we need to rage against or just something that needs a few teaks here and there so everyone benefits more equally*?

*and I do mean equally, not equitably.

Fair enough. I do not endorse eliminating all technological advances in order to ensure equality.
