I'm already hooked on this shit, it's fantastic. Playing this has me pretty excited this company is doing the new DND game.
I love this game. It's one of my all time favorites.
I can't wait to play it, but a 100 hour game in a big time investment.
If you have someone to play co-op with it's even better. I played with my brother and it was so much fun. Larian do such a good job of giving you the freedom to approach quests however you want.

I love how dense it is, so much to do and discover in every area. And some of the narrative connections between areas/characters are genius. Really well thought-out game.

After playing it off and on for a few months, finished the FF8 remake. The game was a lot more fun than I remember it being over 20 years ago.

Next up: Hades

I beat Shining Force 3 for the Sega Saturn over the weekend. It's the first Saturn game I've beaten in probably 15 or 20 years.

I had to cheese a few of the later bosses so it feels a little hollow, but hey that's what NG+ is for right?

Yeah the Maneater was no joke. I couldn't tell you how many times that bastard knocked me off the ledge. In my first couple of encounters with that boss I actually had one beaten and the 2nd down to about 10% and he caught me in a corner and ground pounded my ass. So close. I ended up cheesing them with the thief ring/poison after my 30th failure. I gave up and did the same thing to Old King Allant after losing a few soul levels to his soul sucker spell.

The Old Monk was a real pain too. Ultimately i lucked out and didn't get invaded for a PVP match and pretty easily beat the AI boss.

I'm about...I dunno...12 hours into Disco Elysium? It's hard to say. For the first 5 hours or so I was stumbling around, jerkily getting used to the game's mechanics and flow--it was a fascinating marriage or narrative and form. For the next 5 hours, I gained a great amount of confidence, now I know exactly which screen to go to in order to plan my next move, I can hold lots of info in my head and a tiiiiny bit of dialogue will send me directly to the next most logical interview, and I enter new areas with a purpose and excited to see what happens next. The MVP of this game is the guy who does the voice acting for your mind--I've started to hear his voice inside my head when I'm not playing (if you're wondering how things are going for me).

Similar experience for me (minus the whole hearing the voice in my head). I need to get back to it, however. Took a break for Returnal.

A friend just lent me his physical copy of FFVII remake. I didn't even realize the free PS5 upgrade comes out tomorrow!

Have never played a FF game before...

That's funny--when I finish Disco Elysium (not sure when that will be), the next game in my docket is FFVII (the original).

Started playing Stranded Deep on PS5. really pushing the new hardware to it's max on this one  It's a surprisingly fun time killer and I find myself not realizing how much time has passed while i'm collecting and crafting shit. The gameplay is janky as shit but man, as a hoarding simulator this thing is tits. It's like playing Fallout 4 on survival mode but not doing any of the quests and just hoarding scrap and building your settlement.

Nice palate cleanse after Demon's Souls.
