The NBA didn't reach Jordan numbers until the Cavs v Warriors years. Look I know its part of internet(ing) to take the contrary opinion on everything but I really didn't expect pushback that the league would be concerned after averaging 4 million views in the the bubble finals that anything other a Lakers v Nets final would be viewed by them as a disaster but I'm sure that if they knew you guys were still excited they'd calm down.

I think your point goes to show that Bron is worth a lot more than whatever salary he is being paid by his current team at any given time.

What does this Armageddon scenario look like?

Well I'm thinking of it this way. When a business sells 10 widgets in a fiscal year they realistically or unrealistically expect to sell 15 to 20 next year. Worse they tell Wall Street we are gonna sell 15 widgets so there are expectations and if you fall below expectations OH MY GOD. If they sell 4 the following year people lose their jobs and if you lose your job that might feel pretty life shattering. Perhaps I'm projecting. So lets say they sold 4 last year but the feeling was don't panic it was an aberration next year things will get better. What if they sell 6 this year? Not exactly a return to form or a rising from the ashes. Is it still an aberration or a trend? If if its an aberration how long does it last? Does this affect the fan. Probably not. Does it really affect the owners or the players probably not for a little while anyways. The rank and file employee will feel it and I'm a rank and file employee so I empathize.

Just like last year in the bubble, I’m just enjoying the basketball.

There are so many good young up and comers. I’m in to watch Donavan Mitchell or Dame or Jokic etc. Luka is freaking awesome.

Giannis is still in too, The Lakers were boring this year I’m glad they are gone.

I don’t know that the Hawks can hang with the 76ers but it should be a lot of fun if they shoot like they did in the last series. The Hawks have a ton of scorers. Capela is a great watch and so is Trae Young, who has people falling all over themselves to whine about the way he plays basketball. Steve Nash says “that’s not basketball” and he literally coaches a team with James freaking Harden.



If they don’t like the money they’re making, sell the team.
