started High on the Hog (netflix) the other day. It's interesting, so will likely finish it out.
also might try season 3 of Master of None.

I'm watching the first episode of The Witcher. It's really bad. Bad CGI and even worse writing. I don't think I'll be continuing this one.

S3 is better than S1 and even S3 isn't as good as Mare.psychobain wrote:Not even closespike wrote:not better than true detective season oneMickey wrote:Yeah my quick take is that it was very good, the best of all the HBO neo-noir series in the last ten years.

I played it a little and my brother has read some of the books. The writing was just dire, as were a lot of the costumes, sets and CGI.psychobain wrote:Have u played the games?JuanHamm wrote:Jesus, this is terrible
I'm considering continuing to watch it as a hate watch. I think we're going to try out Black Sails first though.
Part of the problem is that I've just rewatched Rome, Sopranos and GoT, so my expectations are probably a little high.

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
Slight disagree here: S2 of True Detective is the best/smartest one (rewatch it, you'll see that I'm right), S3 is sentimental muck for fixed-income Boomers, S1 had the most promise but the worst payoff. Mare is better than all of these--perhaps not quite as ambitious as S1/S2 of True Detective but I'll take execution over potential any day.epilogue wrote:S3 is better than S1 and even S3 isn't as good as Mare.psychobain wrote:Not even closespike wrote:not better than true detective season oneMickey wrote:Yeah my quick take is that it was very good, the best of all the HBO neo-noir series in the last ten years.

South Park vaccine special
It was OK, some great moments, but I kinda prefer the language to be beeped out so it's not distracting.
