Well, I knew there was probably a system, but this IS the US government we're talking about.

Something, something, north to south?
Something, something even numbers and odd numbers?

You mean the Interstate numbers or the mile markers.

Because I know the mile markers count down to zero as I drive from Ohio to North Carolina.

I wish they always counted down to the state borders, no matter which way you were driving.

I can't be the only one that always wants to know how much further until the next state.

That's how we do it (north-to-south). Are there really states that go continuously from one to the next? Bonkers.

Even two digit interstates go east/west, odds go north/south. When you add a leading, third digit, whether it's even or odd means it's either cutting through a metro area or going around it, I think.

The third leading digit system is flawed as fuck though, because development.

Not anymore. They adopted some sort of randomization system in 2011.

US orders seem to be working through.

I got more than one back in the fall - purchased one in October, and one in November. The October set is showing as 'shipped' by PJ, but not by UPS. The November set still 'processing'. I live in 52404 zip.

It was confirmed on the Pit today that they have actually shipped some copies, but only international so far.
