Mucking up two pretty important fills to introduce a song isn't really a small thing.

I honestly didn't even notice it until I read about it here. And wasn't there some debate in this thread if he even did? If 99.9 percent of people do not notice something, I consider it a small thing.

I count really mucking up as the Thin Air fill or the All or None solo from Benaroya. Even the All or None solo wasn't too major.

But to each there own; I definitely do not listen to the drums as closely as you do

Harmless has a fine ear for drums, and he's probably the toughest drum critic here. If Matt fucks up, no matter how subtle, Harmless will find it.

But yet turns a blind a eye to any mistakes Dave A. made.

Do you play them? Maybe you care about guitar flubs because you're more interested in guitar.

Correlating albums with season is an interesting thought because I have always done it. I always thought of vs and vitalogy as winter feeling, no code as a contemplative fall, ten as summery, yield spring like riot act and binaural good winter stuck inside listens, Backspacer as light summery, s/t as spring...this album so far feels very autumnal to me as well. I fully get that this probably sounds strange. Ah...my first post on this thread in 4 days, aka, 350 pages or so.

LOL...that's pretty much how I feel about the albums except I love cranking VS in the summer time....ITW soundtrack=ultimate fall album, especially up here in new england

which official single video had real live audio when dave a was in the band? none of em. matt messing up is not this band's main concern right now. it's one little out of time fill, it really doesn't matter. the band could have done another take but it's not important enough. it re-enforces the live feel.

Even Flow and Alive were live, right? Both drummed perfectly.

The rest, well that's, like, your opinion man. It's two out of time fills. It doesn't keep me up at night, but I read people commenting on lack of guitar, wrong chords, etc. etc. all the time, but when I mention a drummer's mistakes it's relegated to a non-issue. That's kind of how the drums are treated by guitar fans, though, and that's fine with me.

it's just that this mistake isn't as bad as playing the wrong chords or some of those awful mistakes mike makes. it's just a little out-of-time fill.
