Record store.
The guy is an identical real life clone of Comic Book Guy in the simpsons - Vest, superman belt buckle, acne, ratty hair and all.
Great guy though and would always take care of me. I considered us friends! Would always stay and chat with him and his mom.
Election Day this year I posted a "funny" or "Adorable" little cartoon celebrating Trump losing. I got a message from him going off on me about how he hates facbeook and he tolerates 0 politics on facebook and if anyone does they get blocked and removed from his list.
He finished off with insinuating i was no longer welcome but if i still needed to come in i could call him instead.
It was super weird and a late night message. I asked if i offended him and he said yes and that was it.
We were friends on facebook for 8 years. I never post overtly political stuff but maybe crack a joke here or there. ITs been the same since we've been facebook friends so something clearly set him off that day.
Now its just fucking awkward.

I’ll get in there again. It’s such a word thing for him to act out on. Literally two weeks previously I was in there for an hour and he was telling me how I’m his best customer. I spent like $200 a month in there.warehouse wrote:i was about to say, what the hell strat, you are one of my favorite people here!surfndestroy wrote:A falling out with the record store or with warehouse? I don’t hold a grudge I just hate awkward situations and now this will be one. I’ll probably go in there and just roll my eyes and laugh and tell him I have mostly

Anyone who could dislike and hold a grudge against strat is probably not a legit human being.
He was probably just having a bad day.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of No Code, Pearl Jam reissues No Code on 150-gram CLEAR vinyl. This is the first time the album has been available on the format since its original release and the first time the album is being mastered specifically for vinyl, by Grammy Award-winning engineer Bob Ludwig. It features recreations of their original packaging, including the set of nine random replica Polaroids/lyric cards

Re: No Code Vinyl
thanks! unfortunately it sold out before me or my brother could get our hands on it. i'll keep checking periodically and maybe they will restock.dprival78 wrote:To celebrate the 25th anniversary of No Code, Pearl Jam reissues No Code on 150-gram CLEAR vinyl. related note: i'll pay someone $100 for this. if you didn't read the original post, i want this for my brother so he can give it to his daughter. they got her a record player for her 18th bday and he gave her Ten, but No Code is his favorite pearl jam album so it would mean a lot.

Also why are they not doing some sort of deluxe release with B-sides and a live show from the era? Someone dropped the ball here...

Re: No Code Vinyl
It says first time it's been released on vinyl since the original release...But didn't they re-release it along with Yield a couple years ago? It was released with a semi-controversial alternate take of "Who You Are" with a slightly different verse? I know I'm nitpicking, but it's certainly been re-released at least once, yes?dprival78 wrote:To celebrate the 25th anniversary of No Code, Pearl Jam reissues No Code on 150-gram CLEAR vinyl.
