Dr Dog
Anyone here listen to these guys?
i got into them not too long after Fate came out and the have been becoming one of my favorite bands ever since. they have a new album either out now or coming out real soon, but we listened to it one and a half times driving last night and im liking it a lot, its a little different then their last 3 albums, mainly because to me there arent as many poppy songs, the catchy parts are a bit more subtle which is nice, it reminds me a bit more of their early albums from before fate. anyway, anyone who doesnt listen to them, i definitely recommend giving them a try, and if you get the chance to see them live then definitely do it, they are an awesome live band, and they do a bit of setlist varying, not to the extent of PJ but you do get something a little different each time you see them for sure. we are gonna see them in november for the 3rd time and really cant wait, like i said, they are definitely in that small group of bands that are my favorites right after Pearl Jam

One of my favorite bands of the last 5 years. Fate is a ridiculous album, and the two after it are pretty damn good as well. I like the rawness of the new one, but I haven't given it proper spins yet. They're also amazing live, one of the best I've ever seen.

I saw them in a small club in Philly right after Fate came out, and I saw them at The TLA like 3-4 years ago. They were great both times, but the first one was amazing.

Great band. Saw them last year at a small venue and the show too was great.

Give the new one a spin soon - some great stuff going on there. Phenomenon might be my favorite song since I Only Wear Blue. I know... cheesy, right? He definitely sings all my favorites. Black Red is another one of my favorites. All the bonus tracks From Shame, Shame are fantastic.

I didn't realize what a great song it is until today. They might be creeping into my #2 "favorite band" spot.Whitey McTeeth wrote:total awesome sauceChloe wrote:The Rabbit, The Bat & The Reindeer

Re: Dr Dog
Fate is fuckin' legendary. Like The Band and The Beatles had a kickass baby.
Shame, Shame is pretty close.
Be The Void is really good, with just a few less than stellar tracks.
B-Room, after a few days, is pretty damn fantastic. Loving all the different vibes.
Scott was my favorite for Fate and Shame, Shame but Toby's creeping up fast, especially with the new album. Too Weak To Ramble is one of the best tunes they've had.
Amazing live. I've seen a few Fate era vids and they're a little rough, but they've tightened up on the harmonies and musically since and they're just the best time.
