Strava is just a gps and data tracking app with a fantastic social component. You can definitely log treadmill miles. It's almost all verb does.

What kind of weekly distance or time goals do you have? Kind of hard to gauge what you mean by recovery run.

You should check out steve magness's blog.

And you're welcome, trag. Take any advice I have with lumps of salt. I'm doing my best to simply maintain a steady buildup of mileage and improve form, but I love talking about running lately.

Narrator: Actually, he just so happened to log a tread run as recently as yesterday.

Dammit trag. I just got a little excited about you running with the rm running thread gang in solidarity. I guess that's never going to happen now.

Related: should we start up the RM strava group again?

It wouldn't be the group without him.

Did you see he logged a 3am 20-miler today? The man is machine.

Is this all coming together intuitively for you, or are you trying to follow a plan of some sort?

Push through the mush, tragadero.

Laced up my old Boston 8s this morning to see if they still had life in them. They do, but I don't think that type of shoe is it for me anymore. I am now 100% sold on low drops instead.

My run looks decent on paper so I suppose they didn't slow me down, but I am tracing a pretty immediate and direct line of discomfort from my right knee cap to my lower back after this run. Much like the lower back pain I experienced often last year running on these shoes.

Sucks, because I'm sentimental about my miles on the Bostons, but they just don't leave me feeling fresh after a run like my current shoes. They'll always be the shoe that got me through the pandemic/new dad year, though. For that I am eternally grateful.
