This Strava thing … would it be easy to enter fake stats? Like a 20 mile run at 3am?

PS - I rode my bike for a while yesterday. Listened to a Jackson 5 mix.

Manual entries like that would be viewed with a lot of skepticism.

The only time I manually enter anything is on the treadmill and since my times suck nobody questions them.

Do manual entries count towards group leaderboards?

I've had to manually extrapolate a mile or so a few times before I stopped relying on the iffy MiBand 5. Never should have upgraded from the 4.

Now I run intuitively. Turning on Strava but muting the voice updates has really helped me forget about pace. Just use the watch to monitor how long I'm going now.

I was just diagnosed with arthritis and bone spurs on my right big toe.

Have to get special shoes for running and special sandals for wearing around the house.

Sorry to hear that, B. Have you thought about rowing on an erg? Great cardio if your feet/joints need some time off.

I never stopped running. I ran a half marathon in May.

The podiatrist never suggested stopping running or even pausing it. Frankly, my pain is minor ... a 2 or a 3 out of 10.

If I have to get off my feet, I'd ride a bike. It mostly has to do with cost and convenience of exercise for me. If I have an excuse, I'll take it. Running, biking, I can being doing it as soon as I step off my porch, and I don't have to commit to major expenses.

Well, until now, but we'll see how long my first pair of non-bendy, $150 shoes last.

What do special shoes for Ortho problems look like? Any cool colorways?

My doc wanted me to get Hoka shoes to run in and Oofo sandals to wear around the house. Apparently the plan is to limit the flexing of my toe to keep arthritis from getting worse.

First day in several it feels like my cold is going away. Will probably go for a long run when I get home from work.

Interesting. My Garmin appears to have stopped sending updates to Strava.

Ah, phew.

I troll your modding on RM but Strava is sacred ground and I've always admired your consistency. It was a bummer to think you stopped.
