Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
IMHO, it's greatest weakness is in it's role as Act 3 of the sequel trilogy. As a movie separate from 7 & 8, I probably wouldn't dislike it so much.

I think it does a good job at salvaging the trilogy, after the train wreck before it.B wrote:IMHO, it's greatest weakness is in it's role as Act 3 of the sequel trilogy. As a movie separate from 7 & 8, I probably wouldn't dislike it so much.

Why? Because TRoS trainwrecks the intriguing, scenic ride that comes before it?VinylGuy wrote:Oh man this is going to get goodAnders wrote:I think it does a good job at salvaging the trilogy, after the train wreck before it.B wrote:IMHO, it's greatest weakness is in it's role as Act 3 of the sequel trilogy. Because the storytelling in TLJ, does very little to help what TFA set up.B wrote:Why? It’s a good looking movie, but I think JJ was very frustrated by it.

TFA set up exactly nothing really though. Brilliant character introduction. That’s all tbh
Oh and Luke is on an island.
Where to go from there?
