I saw A Quiet Place Part II and i liked it. it's bad, but i had fun and found it thrilling. maybe i was just desperate to be with my m8s in a movie theater.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Oh shit yeah, okay.tragabigzanda wrote:There's a scene when Jackson is saying something like "I know all those gangsters from LA..." Yeah, I found it kinda hard to watch. I respect it though.
Tiny detail my wife pointed out last time I tried to watch it: the age of the young blonde he courts at the pool seems off.

Re: What movies are you watching?
While Platoon is easily five stars for me, and one I have seen multiple times. Raging Bull I think I have only seen once before. Then I think I was hoping for another Rocky, and got nothing like it.
About half an hour in now, and I think it has a great start. De Niro gained 60 pounds to play the role, and fully embraces it. He’s not just playing him here, he is Jake LaMotta.
The film is beautifully shot in black and white, really giving the movie a different feel.
The dialogue has also been on point.
We’ll see how the movie progresses for me.
