This has been a long-time bug bear of mine as well:The Argonaut wrote:Trampled moss on your souls
Changes all you're a part
Seen it all, not at all
Can't defend fucked up man
Take me a for a ride before we leave...
Circumstance, clapping hands
Driving winds, happenstance
Off the track, in the mud
That's the moss in the aforementioned verse
But he's never mentioned any verse before this point in the song, he had only mentioned moss. The verse isn't aforementioned, the moss is. The lyric should be:
"That's the aforementioned moss in the previous verse"

It still throws me off when they “fixed” the lyric to avalanche. I never anticipate that lyric and still expect the old one. I will never adjust.

The second verse starts with "circumstance, clapping hands."knee tunes wrote:What previous verse? The Argonaut wrote:Trampled moss on your souls

Re: Song of the Moment: Who You Are
The point is that its the MOSS that's 'aforementioned' not the verse that's 'aforementioned'. They never previously 'mentioned' the verse, they previously mentioned the moss.knee tunes wrote:What previous verse? The Argonaut wrote:Trampled moss on your souls

It is a bit weird and the line in general is a bit weird even if it grammatically made sense lol. But its kinda fun

Re: Song of the Moment: Who You Are
Always thought this song live made them look like a more complete band - with Stone and Jeff doing the concurrent back up vocals.
Looking at the vid earlier there's the three vocalists in a line and mike just wandering around doing his thing haha!
