Online play is cool too, though I wish you could have more than 4 players in a game.

Finished Adventure mode in Mario Golf today. All courses now open. I like some of the regular golf changes - tap in, lob shot, club selection… I’ll be playing this game for a decade at least.

Nintendo said there would be free dlc. I think a new donk city course has been leaked. I wish they could just release past courses as well.

I finished adventure mode today too. Played a bunch of the challenges twice just to power up my mii.

Is this limitless? I spent nothing on spin. Went for control, speed, and a max drive around 250 at the end of the mode. I’d like to get to Baseball Stars heights with my Mii.

I'm only at 234 for power so I don't know where that maxes out, but the others are definitely finite. I have stamina and speed maxed out and I'm close on control and spin.

I’m not there yet, but 100 is the maximum experience, and you can’t shuffle your attributes after you’ve locked them in.
I think control should be maxed. I guess the rest depends on what mode you’d play the most.
Stamina seems like a waste. Once you can make it from heart to heart on the course, that’s enough. I maxed out speed to make sure I’m able to do that.
I don’t use spin so I’m not touching it.
Power is what will set the Mii far above the Mario characters. None of them drive beyond 240, which I think blows. Bowser and Donkey Kong should at least approach 300.

I can see it being satisfying if you get good at it, but there are two reasons I am avoiding it:

1) It’s just one more thing to fuck up. I imagine for every cool shot where it pays off I’d hit 3 or 4 where it makes it worse or has negligible results.

2) I’d be trading significant distance for it. If spin, which I would use intermittently, maxes out at 10, that’s going to cost 20-30 (2-3 yards for each bump) yards every time I swing. Hitting long with max control is going to have the most payoff.

I played it once and didn’t have issue with spin. Backspin was nice but i really liked topspin when you have to hit it low under some trees to get a nice roll once it lands

Sorry, that came off sounding shitty. I didn’t mean to imply you shouldn’t have problems with it, just to give it a try, you might not fuck it up

True for your drive, but when you want to land it on the green as close to the hole as possible you want to use that spin.

and honestly once I beat advenute mode I stopped caring about the level my character was at

because in non adventure mode i just use non mii characters so focus on using them enough to unlock the better sets of clubs

oh and play against me online sometime

I do wish for future dlc they’d release old courses. Toadstool tour courses should be a dlc on its own.

So each Mario character can get a star club set (1000 points) and a super star set (3000 points). I played a standard round of golf on the first course and shot -14. I got just over 400 points for that. It would take forever to get all the characters to 3000.

I read that if you play battle mode and just ignore the game and collect stars, you usually get 3000 points by your 7th round. The rounds only take 3 minutes. It’s a little tedious, but I got the superset for 6 characters in just over 2 hours.

I've got super star sets for 9 of the 16 characters without doing the battle mode coin run trick.
