The band have treated him very badly.

He was an integral member of the band (arguably moreso than McCready) during what was arguably the most important few years of their career.

He's still the canonical Pearl Jam drummer, whether the band likes it or not.

He was their drummer for 1.8 albums and for like 3 years.

More important that McCready?

Probably the most important and impactful three years of their career, though.

They're still running on the fumes of the band that made Ten*, Vs and Vitalogy.

The band aren't selling out Wrigley Field or Wembley off the back of Riot Act and Backspacer.

Anyway, my point is you think they'd give the guy some mild recognition from time to time when an appropriate opportunity comes up. Their hesitancy to do so seems downright bizarre.

( * Yes, I realise this was the other Dave - but the second Dave joined before it was even released, so.)
