I've had two not great concert experiences there. Sound wasn't an issue. It was the audiences. The space is massive and the vibes at those shows were so weird. It's hard to connect with the performer. In both shows the artists addressed the seeming lack of enthusiasm from the crowd. Which sucked because I'm both cases the artists were on fire. It really has to do with the kinds of people who go to RCMH coupled with the size of the space. I've always found the sound to be great.

One of those shows was the famous Jack White meltdown where he walked off stage after just under an hour and never came back.

It faded into oblivion with me. I feel Masseduction is way better and right now, this one feels more like an exercise on style.

Opposite for me. It's expanded and gelled for me over the months. This is easily my second favorite St. Vincent record. The whole thing is masterful and keeps giving, I think. Which is not to say that Masseduction isn't also a masterpiece. I love the hell out of both. Two different moods. Two different tones. Two different styles. But DH is where I'm at right now.
