I'm pretty easygoing music-wise.
Really? The first half of her debut album is pretty great.
Don't test me, sir, don't test me.
Listen with headphones. Then I think you'll begin to understand.

I can't bear the thought of her voice being so close to my ears :)

It may even cause damage to the unaccustomed ear.

20 days left (picture just posted on PJ facebook) and this thing still hasn't leaked yet? This is unacceptable, people.
I remember having Riot Act two months before it was released. Pearl Jam have a pretty tight lid on things these days.

Not cool to be a dick about them if others don't "get" them
Usually, the very things that other people don't "get" about an artist lead to some of the moments that fans find most entertaining. Even the most ardent Tom Waits fans (hi) enjoy YouTube Cookie Monster parodies of the guy or the occasional moment like this one:

Similarly, Pearl Jam fans have a healthy number of hurdur moments to laugh at, and I have to assume Smashing Pumpkins fans are able to poke fun at Billy Corgan for the following:

1. Everything
2. Everything else
3. Things Billy Corgan is not responsible for

how do tom waits fans feel about this? I laugh every time. I've actually left this on as background music.

The guy who makes these (Toothpaste for Dinner) is one of the biggest hacks to ever get rich off a horribly unfunny web"comic", so mostly it just annoys that someone so incredibly untalented tries to make fun of Tom Waits.

Really though? I mean, I know (hope) that's hyperbole, but it's very easy to avoid listening to anything you dislike nowadays.

I'm pretty sure everybody who has ever shown me that or mentioned it where I could see was someone who liked Tom's music.
And this is why people make fun of Tom Waits fans.
What are the primary reasons people make fun of Pearl Jam fans? I need to know!!
