Aren’t the subways Elsa flooded?epilogue wrote:Cabs are dying. Mostly from a combination of ride shares (Uber, Lyft, etc) and COVID-19.bodysnatcher wrote:That’s a long subway ride, they must be good friends.epilogue wrote:Dinner party at a friend's place on the UWS tonight. Curry, I believe.
Are subways back to normal now Joe? I’ve also heard that getting a cab can be a total PITA now. Is that a Covid thing or an Uber effect?
The pandemic destroyed demand. Now that the demand is back up, there's no cabs and ride shares are booming. And they're priced to take advantage, too. Shit is so expensive.
The subway is back to normal now, though.

Some I guess. The internet tells me they are but I haven't seen any of that myself. But I have nowhere to be ever so it's not like I'm riding the rails on the reg.spike wrote:Aren’t the subways Elsa flooded?epilogue wrote:Cabs are dying. A salmon dish from Hello Fresh. I had to drive into the city this afternoon because we forgot to cancel this week’s shipment.

Leftover pizza is best cold. Straight out the fridge. Don’t even get it near a lamp.
