Both c3po and chewie´s fake deaths were sooooooo embarrassing...they lasted for like 2 seconds.

Maz is the lamest new character i would say...it was so awful even those guys knew it and forgot about it.

I don't know if its embarrassing but not having the the OT cast have a scene together seems like a mistake to me but I guess the point was to kill the past. Modern franchise building is tearing down the legacy characters to build up the avatars I mean characters that the new stewards of the franchise created. It's not just Star Wars. I can't wait to watch the new LOTR show and see some new character stop Elrond from helping Sauron or some shit.

TLJ: Leia flying in space. War discussion between Rose and Finn on Canto Bight. Kid at end of TLJ

TROS: Palpatine is the main embarrassment, but this whole movie is embarrassing

Chewie's "death"
Palpatine
Poe's jokes
another Death Star
introducing interesting characters that went nowhere. Phasma, Knights of Ren, DJ, Zorii Bliss, Snoke (lol awful arc)

And then of course the lack of flow between the movies

I personally don’t feel embarassed about liking Star Wars or these movies. I seldom feel embarassed on my own behalf at all.

Still I think it’s fair to say there were embarassing things in these movies. It’s not about simply not liking this or that, but about those things being that bad.
