Re: The Homelessness Crisis
I may have said this before, but back in the late 90’s when i was stationed and living in Colorado Springs, they had a program for the homeless that advertised better yet round weather in SoCal and offered homeless people a free one way bus ticket to LA or San Diego.

Re: The Homelessness Crisis
Gah!! This issue is so maddening!!
There is a new guy posted up near the entrance to my office parking lot. He has been asleep under his blanket every morning (assuming it’s a guy). I will imagine he’s harmless, and I feel terribly for his lot in life.
Sometimes when I drive by someone on a street corner, if I have any kind of suitable food in the car I will give it to them (but not money). I have donated countless hours of community service, and through work thousands of donation dollars (along with colleagues). I want to help.
But then you hear stories about people throwing rocks at cars from freeway overpasses, mugging senior citizens and killing their dogs, closing down little league baseball fields because of all the heroin needles … that makes me wanna just ship them ALL off to an island somewhere…
WTF are we gonna do about this?

What I’ve observed in public places here is that the homeless are down to socially awkward people who like not having to make any sort of human connection with others, and libtards.

Some towns buy homeless ppl one way tickets to Hawaii, hence the bad homelessness problem out there now. I think some of the islands are now turning around and sending them back.

Re: The Homelessness Crisis
For the first time that I can remember, I voted against a tax this year that (supposedly) funds parks and other public improvements.
These people aren’t spending my money wisely enough for me to trust them with more of it.

Homeless advocates have done themselves no service obfuscating the chemical dependency aspect of visible homelessness.
Forcibly detoxing meth zombies is probably preferable to whatever we think we're doing now.
