Firestone Walker's Velvet Merkin is out in your area. Go find some NOW!
Firestone is opening a tap room that is bike riding distance from my place
that show last night was pretty good btw, next week they head up to San Fran so I'm sure Pliny's going to get some love

I DVR'ed it. I'll watch it tonight. Hopefully it's better than the Brew Masters show they had on the Travel Channel about 3 years ago that was basically a glorified commercial for Sam Calagione and Dogfish Head.
Oh, and f-you on the Firestone tap room. If you're not there for some Sucaba or Parabola on tap, you should forfeit your lover-of-great-beer membership privileges.

ya know, I'm not a huge barleywine fan but I did enjoy the Sucaba..I had some on tap last week...the show has some potential but was a bit hokey in parts..I liked that Ale Smith got props last night...
also, I had Sculpin last night that was brewed with hot chili peppers..surprisingly good stuff..I didnt want them ruining one of my all time favorites

This is one of the worst beers I have ever had. I was expecting the flavors to be subtle like some other flavored stouts I've tried but it basically tastes like someone threw every chili powder from the spice section into a beer. Damn near undrinkable.
