Also, that's why I added the bit about him becoming a fan during their last tour. To him, most of the catalog (No Code to Riot Act - the radio singles) is "the last 10 years" to this guy. Just saying, it's high praise from someone I trust who doesn't post on a Pearl Jam message board. And he's the first person IRL to talk to me about the song. I think that's interesting. For a lot of reasons.

This is a musician friend of mine whose opinion I trust and value. We agree on a lot when it comes to popular music. He also isn't a die-hard Pearl Jam fan. He was converted during their last US tour. He was lukewarm on Backspacer.

Just thought I'd share what a random civilian thinks.

Joey you are going to love it and I can't wait to gush over it with you in the months to come!

How can you ever expect to complete your training, if you insist on maintaining your tenuous hold on this so-called "real world?"

I have been running, so sweaty my whole life, urgent for a finish line. And I have been missing the rapture this whole time of being forever incomplete.

I mean, literally, I can wait. But I mean I'm excited to hear it when the album is in my hands. I can't wait until then. Again, not literally.
