Merriam Webster says both are acceptable but I only know a tiny bit of French

Peacemaker. That's the setup for his HBO Max series.

That was marginally better than the first movie but not by much. I was bored for most of it. I'm no shrinking violet but the gore was unnecessary and off-putting.

That was leagues better than the first one oh my god. In every way, by orders of magnitude

Though I'd say that if you're complaining that the violence was "unnecessary and off-putting" you're probably not attuned to what the movie is trying to be

I liked it. Not perfect but overall I thought it was pretty fun.

If the 2016 movie had been edited correctly with a proper climax, I might be ranking it ahead of this one.

I've seen plenty of ultra-violent, bloody movies where I think it worked better than it did here.

Overall, this almost felt like a music video instead of a solidly paced movie. And speaking of music, it didn't do much for me (with a couple of exceptions). Very little of it energized the scenes like the music selections on Guardians of the Galaxy did, in my opinion.

I did enjoy the climax quite a bit; I'll give it that. It blows 2016 out of the water in that respect.

I should probably add that there was a smelly service dog sitting in the row behind me which did not help the quality of my IMAX viewing experience.

The original is just so bad. I watched it again last week and found it worse than I remembered, a dreadfully empty husk of a movie with paper-thin characters, stilted action sequences and extremely unremarkable writing. There's an elegance to this one, even in all its unhinged raucousness; it looks absolutely beautiful and yes it is maximalistic and anarchic and all that but it also lets itself pause for these brief moments of extremely stylized, graceful weirdness; just look at the borderline balletical sequence of Harley Quinn exploding with flowers all around her as she murders a bunch of soldiers, a visual representation of the emotion bursting from within her. There are so many moments like this. There's not much story, but there are surprisingly deep thematic and emotional throughlines that make this a really satisfying watch for me. I am honestly really surprised that I liked this movie so much. I think I'd just recently watched the horrifically mediocre Black Widow and arrived at the theater with very low expectations.
