yeah, its it but i appreciate the overall heavy-ness and most of all, the violence in the lyrics, riffs and Axl´delivery.

I like that. I also like the super weird bridge....Axl really had some very weird, sometimes great sometimes not, music ideas in that era.

I think you have to also sort of take it tongue in cheek - I mean on a bunch of songs on Appetite every chugs along nicely and then as the song closes Axl throws in some campy cringey line like “TAKE THAT TO HEART!” which is goofy, but it makes you laugh, and that’s okay too!

I love how in a song like Sorry you think Axl is saying sorry to someone but no...IM SORRY FOR YOU NOT SORRY FOR ME.

The same with Street Of Dreams were its kinda like this love song for an ex to actually be about that ex being something he doesnt like anymore.

Absurd sucks

I'll get plenty of shit for this, but nothing Velvet Revolver or Slash/Myles Kennedy put out was anywhere near the piece of shit that Absurd is. At this point I'd be much more excited for another Slash/Myles album than a new GNR album.

I'll take the heat off you by admitting that, outside of a few songs, I've never even liked GnR. Like, I even Appetite isn't very good.

Mostly agreed.

The minor quibble is the 'few songs' part, as they're all terrible.

Just an awful band.

I loved GNR deeply for maybe 10 years, and would consider them an important part of my musical past. That said, that's squarely where they reside for me. Most bands I loved that intensely managed to follow me into adulthood in some form, even if just as a nostalgia fix, but I can barely stand to listen to GNR anymore. Too much of their stuff just feels icky to me.

I found the Slash/Myles albums got blander and blander with each release. I loved Apocalyptic Love but everything since is pretty blah to me. Both are great talents but I don't think they bring out the best on each other.

World on Fire suffered from just being too long...if you streamline that thing into the best 11 or 12 songs it's a pretty damn great record IMO

The last one was probably the worst one, but even at it's worst moments it's what Slash's worst moments have always sort of been post GNR: just generic uptempo rock songs with no real memorable hook or melody. I still absolutely love like half of that record.

Anything Goes is the only real stinker on Appetite. Think About You and You're Crazy are weaker but fine.

I love You're Crazy. Full disclosure I've never been wild about Night Train and yeah Anything Goes and Thinking About You. The rest is top shelf.

I prefer the slower version, but I love You’re Crazy.

Think About You and Anything Goes are the weakest songs on the album but they’re not the worst songs in the band’s catalogue. By any stretch.
