Appetite only half a monster? I gotta disagree with that one. It’s full-on, balls-to-the-wall monster.

Anything Goes is the only real stinker on Appetite. Think About You and You're Crazy are weaker but fine.

I'd say Anything Goes and You're Crazy are the only filler tracks on that album. I always skip them.

In fairness, I also always skip Paradise City and Sweet Child O Mine but that's just because they're so overplayed.

The rest is top notch, even tracks like Think About You and My Michelle have a real charm to them.

Nightrain is one of my favourite songs of all time by any band.

Axl used to have one of the most uncanny voices in rock, with his vocal chords doing some sort of natural trick where it sounded like there were two people singing at the same time (this has been covered extensively by rock critics). But on Absurd, it seems his vocal chords have lost that effect, and now he’s relying on FX processing to mimic that which used to come naturally.

This song is meant to be sung that way, just listen to older versions of this song named as Silkworms.
I believe that the next song will have a much broader appeal and also some of Axls signature vocals (even though the vocals may be recorded several years ago)
