Waiting for someone else to add a release to Discogs because you're too lazy to do it yourself is brutal.

It’s a pain in the ass but I love adding albums. Makes me feel like I’ve left my fingerprint in this world.

One of the best (or worst?) feelings is being in a record store, finding an album you’d really like to get, check Discogs and you already have it.

Makes you question everything.

it really does. i've finally started unloading shit from my collection- it started to feel like a burden as opposed to something i enjoyed, and having to look up albums to see if i already had them was just insane to me.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

Best feeling is not bothering to checked before buying and getting home to discover you have the superior German second pressing.

How many times have you bought an album that you already unknowingly owned? Happened to me probably 3-4 times before I put everything in Discogs.

Zero

It's fascinating to me that this has ever happened to anyone.

That’s never happened to me but I once was pumped that I found Some Girls used, got it home, and discovered in the sleeve was Hot Rocks, which I did already have.
