Nobody should be focused on an "enemy". Just worry about yourself and live your life. A lot of old people I talk to don't appreciate being infantilized by doomers about what is best for them anyway.

Believe or not, I'm not that far off from this--I really don't want to see any more NPIs now that we've got vaccines. The only problem is when the hospitals get overwhelmed by antivaxxers and the rest of us can't get care as a result.

I understand the sentiment, but I'm very skeptical that there will be supply issues that would prevent both. Nate Silver's been really good prodding this skepticism on Twitter in recent days.

pfizer and moderna once the vaccinations are approved can make more than enough doses so the manufacturing of the vaccine wont be tough but as they have seen it is the logistics of getting it delivered. that will probably be the biggest hurdle if not tied for convincing people it is safe and wont magnetize you or allow bill gates to reboot your modem

2. MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES: If you or a loved one are exposed to or test positive for COVID, suggests speaking with your physician about monoclonal antibodies in addition to all other treatment options
3. COVID GROWTH RATE TRACKING:referenced the tool available on the CDC site or on most major news websites, which shows the growth rates of COVID cases, hospitalizations and deaths in any given area, measured per 100,000 people in the area. This information may help determine comfort level when travelling to different areas, especially where masks are optional

Higher risk over 65s and such.

If you're at a higher risk there are plenty of precautions you can take and/or adjustments to your lifestyle you can make that make that mitigate the choices that others make. Get vaxxed and stop worrying about what others are doing.

Unless more evidence comes out that over 65s have less protection (including against hospitalization/death) after 6-8 months. That appears to be where this is going.

Hospital beds being available has always been the greatest concern through this. That’s the main metric to watch if you want to predict government’s next move.
