basically thousands of years ago the Celestials (first seen in GoT when the collector is explaining the stones) came to earth and altered cavemans DNA and it created two separate races. The Eternals who developed powers and the Deviants who went the other direction and became abominations yet powerful in their own right. throughout the course of time the eternals only interfered when the deviants attacked humans


as far as the movie goes the big plot hole expected to be filled is why didnt they help during the snap and they answered they were told by the Celestials to only interfere when the deviants are concerned. problem solved, except for the fact thanos is a deviant so......

I've never been a fan of the cosmic side of Marvel or DC so I was surprised I liked GOTG maybe I'll like this?
