Ugly guitars.
From the nut down it’s a strat.

Anyway … interesting how more guitarists aren’t sponsored by a certain brand, like athlets are with sneakers ot even drummers are with drums. There must be a lot to the idea that you need different guitars for different sounds.

Am I wrong about sponsorships? Does Fender sponsor McCready even though he plays several other brands regularly? (Just as an example)
I don’t think it’s sponsorships per se. McCready has a signature model Strat. Matt had signature model drumsticks for a while. (And they were great. It’s the only sticks I’ve used since the mid-90s). Steve Ferrone had a signature snare. Etc… Back in the old days I remember in album liner notes “so and so artist uses Gibson guitars, Fender amps, Ernie Ball strings” and such and they were probably given shit from each of those companies, but I don’t know if stuff like that really happens anymore.
The Gibson custom shop sold replicas of his 59 burst, too.

I kinda sorta hated Ibanez until I heard Gary Willis' signature fretless bass, which is unbelievably dope.

The Roadstar 2 and 2 headstock looked great. I think around 84-85 they started aping the Fender and it turned out shitty. The modern Soundgear headstock, though, is one of the worst I've ever seen. Someone once likened it to a deformed seahorse. Harsh as hell, but I see it.

My Dad and his antics are still remembered in his hometown some 70 years after the fact.

Seems stampeding cows by car, that were waiting to be taken by rail to meat processing plants, into the Rocky Mountains is a memorable event in a small town. Best part is that my Dad’s Dad was that small town’s brimstone and fire preacher. He had my Dad and the other hooligans up on that church stage the next Sunday as examples of people making sinful choices.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

Very cool Kanye, but Trag's dad played fretless bass. That's the coolest thing anyone can do. I don't make the rules.

Hot take:

All guitars sound (basically) the fucking same so it really doesnt matter. It all comes down to how they look and what other gear you are using and fingers.

Mostly agree except some are very cheap total pieces of shit, like the Glarry bass I got just to have a bass.
