Things are looking rough for Louisiana…

Kinda sounds like you're lubing up, in hopes that happens? Hopefully, both the feds and LA had a lessons learned meeting after Katrina.

Feel horrible for everyone in the NOLA area. I was worried about a possible Cat 1 that turned into next to nothing last week I’d be shitting myself if I was staring at a 4.

There is little reason to believe that new Orleans is any more prepared for this one than they were 16 years ago.Self wrote:Kinda sounds like you're lubing up, in hopes that happens? Hopefully, both the feds and LA had a lessons learned meeting after Katrina.

How about being a healthcare worker in NOLA who’s staying behind to treat hospitals full of covid patients who can’t be evacuated. Hope they’re at least getting some sweet hazard pay (yeah right).

Left New Orleans today. Boarded up some of the house before we got out of there. Just got to a point where we had to get in the car. Hopefully the remaining windows hold so we still have a roof when we return. Took 3 hours just to get out of Louisiana. Long day. Tomorrow will be longer.

Re: Here comes the story of the hurricane
Early indication is that my street didn't experience serious flooding, so that's a positive start. No clue yet on how the house held up.
