Have you ever asked yourself why you know about those particular events and not the dozens of other police involved killings that year?B wrote:Oh good. I thought it was the murders of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
Because you can watch video of the police killing them both?Bi_3 wrote:Have you ever asked yourself why you know about those particular events and not the dozens of other police involved killings that year?B wrote:Oh good. I thought it was the murders of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
Are you familiar with Daniel Shaver?B wrote:Because you can watch video of the police killing them both?Bi_3 wrote:Have you ever asked yourself why you know about those particular events and not the dozens of other police involved killings that year?B wrote:Oh good. Ah fuck, the cops killed an unarmed white guy that year?simple schoolboy wrote:Are you familiar with Daniel Shaver?B wrote:Because you can watch video of the police killing them both?Bi_3 wrote:Have you ever asked yourself why you know about those particular events and not the dozens of other police involved killings that year?B wrote:Oh good. The Daniel Shaver video is as disturbing as the George Floyd video, if not more so. The cop that pulled the trigger essentially got off scott-free.B wrote:Ah fuck, the cops killed an unarmed white guy that year?simple schoolboy wrote:Are you familiar with Daniel Shaver?B wrote:Because you can watch video of the police killing them both?Bi_3 wrote:Have you ever asked yourself why you know about those particular events and not the dozens of other police involved killings that year?B wrote:Oh good. Its like a funhouse mirror reflection of the Rittenhouse case. The defendants in this case, thought they were doing a citizen's arrest, kind of like Huber and Grosskreutz might have considered themselves doing with Rittenhouse. Similarly, the home owner comes off as suspicious as Sal and Sam do.
The difference is that the cops basically told them to hold this guy at gunpoint until they arrived, and had been warning locals thay Ahmaud was suspected to be armed.
Might still be held responsible for murder, but as far as who gave them the authority to try to stop this guy, oof.
It was the general plan of what to do if they saw him from previous discussions with the cops, not directions from dispatch.Bi_3 wrote:simple schoolboy wrote:Sounds like the Ahmaud Arbery case, despite the defense screwing the pooch with the "black minister" comment, its not as cut and dry as the initial coverage.E.H.
