Except that in my next post I think - I'd made it clear that it was about not overwhelming the hospitals, which is what they've openly said. Re: Anybody want a Corona?
You could argue the lockdowns, even if they keep the nurses and docs freed up enough to tick tock dance, still are a net negative, so there's that. All the pampered WFH types on RM have a real hard time seeing the forest from the trees on that one though.macphisto wrote:They were trying to sell that to us sixteen months ago here. You may want to read the article above. There is a real world chance that if you are in need of urgent care and go to a hospital, you could be turned away.
All because selfish cunts who screamed "FREEDOM" are now clogging up ICUs and taking up resources.

I do enjoy the whole WFH thing, but during lockdowns it gets a whole lot harder then just WFH. A few weeks of lockdown is going to have a minimal negative effect, unless you're that far up your own arse that putting yourself out for a wee bit is going to screw you up. The economy is still fine - from Sept last year I think we've had maybe 4 -5 weeks of any level of lockdown here. It's really not a big deal
